Today we went out for our third annual Christmas tree farm experience. We go with My Mom and her husband and other Family members. This year my oldest Brother joined us with his wife and four children. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it to us. sleighbells is in Sherwood Oregon with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood behind it. We hike (walk) up a hill full of Christmas trees, cut it down and then the boys shake and bail it and even tie it to your car. There is Christmas music playing, often it's live and a shop for hot coco and other Christmas realted goodies and decorations. We had a little scare when Ella started walking down the steep gravel path which quickly turned into an uncontrollable run followed by a fall. Thankfully she was not hurt, just scared as were Mom and Dad. why is it when our precious little children are about to be in danger do we sometimes just watch it happen like time has come to a halt. Can anyone ironically relate?
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and continue to have a blessed Christmas season.
Love,
Jennifer

I love the pictures! Sounds like a wonderful family tradition!
I sure miss the tradition of cutting down our own tree. But here in AZ real trees dry up right before your eyes. I'm now pricing artificial pre-lit trees. Tripp asks, "are we getting artificial presents to put under our artificial tree?". Hmmm that sure would save us some money!!
Love your family photo! Yes I can totally relate Jen! Sometimes I feel like I'm in slow-motion watching things (not good things) happen to the girls like a fall or something and I'm wondering, hello, where is my reaction? SO strange I don't know how else to describe it! Miss you!
oh my gosh, how cute is ella with her little pig-tails and fluffy vest and boots?! How fun. I want to do that with our family...but NOT this year! ;) poor ella, remember when ella choked and ryan albertson had to do the heimlich! we were all in slow motion then...except for him, thank the Lord!! I totally relate.
...how lovely are your branches!
Lovely tree, lovely branches, lovely family. Sorry about the unlovely accident.
Heard you are coming over for MOCHA moms. Can't wait to have you over.
Hugs.
